Website Automations that will Grow Your Business

Automations on your website don’t just save you time in your business, they enhance your entire client experience drastically. In 2024 your clients expect to have a seamless online experience. When a client has a positive experience with your brand, studies suggest they are up to 85% more likely in recommending your services/products to others.

Setting the bar high with your website, and in turn your client experience, will reflect the calibre of client you attract. This can result in more aligned and engaged clients who don’t make objections to your pricing and value your work.

Here are some ways you can automate your business, saving you time on repetitive tasks and raising the bar on the clients who want to work with you for the ease your automations bring:

1. Booking Systems

Some studies indicate that introducing an online booking system can increase revenue from 34-125%. When you think about it, it makes sense. A booking system operates around the clock, allowing clients to book appointments outside of your standard business hours. Clients expect you to offer online booking, as they most likely will want to book an appointment before/after they have finished their work day (usually outside of normal business hours).

Avoid No-Shows and Cancellations

Aside from the inconvenience of having to call during business hours without online booking available, people are less comfortable nowadays in picking up a phone to make an appointment. When on the phone, a client may have to think on the spot and sometimes can commit to a time that actually does not suit them, resulting in no-shows/cancellations. Giving the option of an online booking calendar allows the client to check your availability against theirs and commit to a time that suits them. You can even charge a deposit payment to protect yourself further against flakey behaviour!

Include Zoom links

Setting up appointment confirmation emails/text automations and reminders ensure your clients know when their appointments are happening. If your appointments are taking place via Zoom, you can even include this link in your email automations. How easy!

This is our booking calendar. We actually choose to keep this password-protected as we offer free calls and don’t want just anyone booking in.

2. Client Forms

As well as providing a contact form for potential clients to get in touch, you can include service-specific client forms on your website. These forms can be omitted from the main menu, even password-protected, so only those who you share them with can view and fill them in.

You can include links to these forms in email automations linked to your booking system notifications. This is  a great way of saving your time and looking super professional and efficient in the eyes of your clients. Below is an example of a client form used on The Happy Media Company website we built. This form is not visible on the menu and is only shared with approved clients.

3. Online Stores

No more back-and-forth time wasting in your DMs and emails. An online store is a great way of earning passive income. You can literally make money while you sleep! Since the pandemic-that-shall-not-be-named, online shopping (and the expectation consumers have that it should be offered) has increased drastically. Some studies suggest that at least 14-19% of all retail purchases are carried out online in 2024, with this figure on the rise.

You can automate notifications such as receipts, successful orders, failed orders and delivery details. Through your online store, you can also manage payments and refunds. Digital downloads are also a huge sector of the eComm world, allowing you to sell templates and ebooks directly from your website.

Take a look at this example of a comprehensive online digital store we built for Not Your Father’s Lawyer, complete with 48 digital products and 78 individual legal templates!

4. Email Marketing and Lead Magnets

Integrate your email marketing with your website and watch your list grow! You can add your freebie to your website’s footer and allow users to input their details to download and be added to your list.

Separate landing pages can be added for different free resources and WordPress integrates really nicely with Kit, MailChimp and many more. This means you can design your landing page on your email marketing platform, and simply add it to your website with the click of a button!

Take a look at the AWD website footer and landing page below for our lead magnet The Converting Website Checklist.

Well, that’s it guys! There are so many other automations you can set up to cut down on your repetitive tasks and enhance the experience of your clients in order to grow your business.
